Usage of Table Salt:
Polishing nature of table salt helps you eliminate dandruff. Ensure that your scalp is dry and, then, thoroughly rub 2-3 tablespoons of table salt onto your scalp, for about 10 minutes. After that, you need to wash off your hair as usual.
Usage of baby oil:
The baby oil doesn’t contain any fats which can be consumed by fungi and it is helpful in eliminating dandruff. Before going to bed, you have to rub this baby oil onto your scalp and leave it overnight. Wash off your hair, in the morning, using a good shampoo.
Usage of Vinegar:
Vinegar is capable of killing scalp and bacteria, treating dry skin and thus, eliminates dandruff. It, further, reduces the itchiness due to its acidic content. You have to boil two cups vinegar, after which it is let cool. Take one-eighth of this vinegar and mix it well with a cup of water. Then, wash off your hair with a good shampoo. You can also add one tablespoon of vinegar with the water and use it for washing off your hair. Please ensure that vinegar doesn’t enter your eyes, as it may cause irritation.
Usage of lemon juice with coconut oil:
The imbalance of pH levels of the scalp is one of the reasons of us having dandruff. Lemon juice’s acidity is responsible for keeping dandruff at bay. Coconut oil has anti-bacterial properties, which help in making hair stronger. A mixture of one teaspoon of lemon juice & 5 teaspoons of coconut oil is to be applied to your scalp smoothly, after which it is left for 30 minutes. You, then, wash off your hair using a mild shampoo. Lemon juice can irritate any minor cuts or wounds as it has got acidic properties. You must use only fresh lemon juice as bottled lemon juice may contain artificial ingredients, which may not give you the desired results.
Usage of Aloe Vera:
Aloe Vera has antibacterial, fungicidal properties and proteolytic stimulant characteristics, which breaks downs protein and dead skin cells, thus helps in it removing dead skin cells & eliminate dandruff. You have to collect a little quantity of aloe vera, directly obtained from the plant, and apply it onto your scalp. It is left for about 15 minutes and later, your hair is washed off using a mild shampoo.
Usage of apple juice with water:
Green apples contain natural procyanidin B2, which helps in the growth of healthy hair. Two tablespoons of apple juice are mixed with an equal amount of water, and this mixture is applied to your scalp. After about 15 minutes, a mild shampoo is used to wash off your hair. However, you may not get the desired results, as you add more water to the unripe apple juice.
Usage of Ginger oil & Sesame oil:
Anti-inflammatory properties in ginger oil help to increase hair growth while its active components help stop dandruff. You have to peel the ginger and grate it, after which, you may use cheese cloth, to squeeze the ginger oil. Sesame oil is, then mixed with ginger oil, and applied on your scalp, with the mixture being rubbed gently. After some time, you wash off your hair with a mild shampoo.
Usage of Henna:
Dried henna leaves are used in treating major hair conditions such as dandruff. The ingredients of henna include tannic acid, gallic acid, lawsone, and mucilage play major role in henna’s dyeing effect. Henna has a potential to bind to the keratin in the hair, which creates a protective layer and relieves one from scalp irritation. It reduces oiliness of the scalp, thereby, reducing dandruff. A teaspoon each of henna, amla powder, tea powder, lemon juice and coconut oil are to be mixed until you get a paste. It is, then, applied to your scalp and it is left for some time. Hair is washed off using a mild shampoo.
Usage of basil leaves, amla powder & water:
Basil leaves are one of the many natural ingredients that can cure dandruff. It is known for their extensive antibacterial and antifungal properties, they help treat dandruff and also improve the strength of the scalp. Firstly, mix few basil leaves, 2 teaspoons each of amla powder & water till you get a paste. This paste is applied to your scalp and left for about 30 minutes, after which it is washed off using fresh water.
